Ch. Brevis Olympian CDX TD ("Ollie")
Ollie was an open tricolor basset male who was whelped on May 19, 1994 (HM522332/08) and died on February 12, 2007. He was bred by Brevis Bassets of Bethany, CT (Brevis Chauncy x Candlewoods Fan Tan O'Brevis). He earned his TD at the age of ten and a half months. Ollie enjoyed success in both the breed and obedience rings. He was Best Senior in Sweepstakes at the 1995 Basset National Specialty, and he finished his championship with three majors, all under breeder judges. He received a Group III under breeder-judge Jim White at the St. Hubert's Kennel Club show on July 26, 1996. He earned his CD in October 1997 with decent scores and much acclaim over his speed, eagerness, and obvious delight in working. He was even better at Open: he earned his CDX in March 1999 with scores of 196.5, 190.5, and 186, and his attitude in the ring was even more joyous. He was a pleasure to show, and he was an even more lovable pet. His absence will leave a large hole in my life.
